I don't have a blu-ray drive on my computer so no way to to disc id's.

But I can't paste a disc id into an alternate version profile from another profile.

To create a profile like this.

Quote:
A release with a single UPC/EAN, with two movies on the same side of the same disc:

UPC Entry: (Movie 1/Movie 2) data
Disc ID A Entry: Movie 1 data
Disc ID A Entry (Variant ID #1): Movie 2 data

I was going to do this for the Arthur double feature blu-ray, but no way to paste the disc id from the UPC entry into the 2 alternate version profiles that I created.

So I know the Disc ID but it's impossible to do the alternate versions correctly.

Personally, I think this is treading into dangerous territory. If you can copy a Disc ID, then you can simply type one in as well, without any verification that it is correct.

You've never been able to create profiles at the Disc ID level for Blu rays in the past for this very reason. I don't think variants should make a difference.

Contribution notes would be used to verify that the disc id is legit. Stating that it came from a specific profile.

Besides it would be rather obvious because they would be clones of an existing profile modified for alternate versions.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one without a blu-ray drive. And I certainly won't buy one just to do disc id's.

No, you are not alone. That's why I suggested in another forum that we could use UPC/EAN variants instead.
Something like this:

UPC Entry: (Movie 1/Movie 2) data
UPC/EAN Entry (Variant ID #1): Movie 1 data
UPC/EAN Entry (Variant ID #2): Movie 2 data

But I also support your request. It should be easier for people to contribute also without a drive.
With your suggestion you will not always have the Disk ID to copy, but it's better than nothing.

It has the Disc-IDs in the Discs-section of the profile? Use the "Clone to Disc-ID" functionality of BulkEdit and variant it.
