How do I know that I have .NET Framework on my computer? |

| | Posted: | | | | I'm interested in some of the plugins, but I see that some require that my computer has something called .NET Framework.
How do I know if my computer has it and if it does is there anything that I need to do to start using it before even installing a plugin?
Because all I know is that I have never started or even used such a program and have no idea where to even look. |

| | Posted: | | | | Microsoft .NET Framework is a platform that some programs need to run properly. If you have it then it is listed with other installed programs in your Windows Control Panel. If not then you can get the latest version at the Microsoft Website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=48130 Once it is installed you don't have to do anything. | | Posted: | | | | General info: The Microsoft .NET Framwork is part of the Windows installation since at least Windows 7 if not Vista.
It is readily available for XP as well.
There are always newer version of this Framework but Plugins rarely make use of them unless they have a really good reason. For most plugins, the Framwork version 3.5 is totally enough.
And yes, it is backwards compatible, a program written for 3.5 will work just fine in Framework 4.5 | | | Karsten
