I have downloaded some reports from the Invelos website, including one that is perfect for my needs, "LunatiCs Color Coded report." This report lists the collection by Title and also color-codes each title by Genre. However, when I run the report, it codes the wrong genre to each Title. I have tried to edit the report but I am not tech-savvy and just made things worse before closing my edited report. Can someone please help me create or edit a report that is essentially a working version of the "LunatiCs Color Coded" report? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

I took a look at the report and there is no way to fix it, not as currently implemented.  The problem is that titles can have more than on genre attached to it. Fourteen to be exact. Therefore the report has a priority of which one gets listed. For example, if it is action, it will be the only color printed, no matter if there are other genres attached to the entry. It will always only be a single color.

The only way that I know of to fix it is to divide the title line into 14 parts and only print the color if the genre matches.  The "other" genre would need something other than white.

So, instead of a single color, you would get splotches of color.

In case anyone comes across this old thread:
It is possible to have the color of the primary genre displayed as the background if that condition is checked.  The current condition check for "genre contains" and this not always result in the primary genre color being shown.  If The "Primary genre is equal to" condition is checked then that color will be selected.  I did discover that it was necessary to select Genres from the Film tab as an item in order for the Primary condition check to work.  After choosing this item I made it 1 pixel by 1 pixel and located it it 2 pixels off the top and left so it wouldn't be visible.

Hi media,
I think it likely that the report's author simply missed that the Primary Genre condition check was available; it's not adjacent to the Genre check and it's not easy to see that you can scroll the list of checks.  The Primary check is far down the list.  What I think is clever is the Report Creator program itself.  I continue to be amazed at it's capabilities.  While diddling with LunaticC's report I thought it would be nice to have white text on the darker backgrounds I discovered that it's possible to add Titles with white text for those particular genres and just bring them forward from the default black Title text.  Works like a charm.
