I'm starting to buy 4K versions of movies, plus would like to add Digital/VUDU.com/Digital Copy Media Types to my catalog so I can print out by media type. I've also previously created DVD-R and BD-R media types for cataloging discs that I've created.

Now that I'm buying 4k discs, I've got 2 custom Media Types for some movies (4K & Digital Copy). but the DVD Profiler program only allows one custom media type.

I'm wondering if I should be cataloging my discs by some other method as the DVD Profiler program doesn't seem to have any other way to classify and sort of different types. Can anyone suggest a better way to classify my collection?

Concerns:
1) I don't want to put the work into some custom classification method that gets overwritten whenever there's a profile refresh. What's the best way to avoid Profile Refreshes overwriting any customizations I may have made to an entry?

2) Since there are a few different ways to classify and access digital versions (e.g. UltraViolet, Disney Anywhere, Flixster, iTunes, VuDu.com, etc.) I can envision a day when it might be advantageous to note each of these different digital versions, especially if some of the companies "go away". How are people classifying their digital collections? I didn't see and FAQs or Forum posts suggesting a "best practices" approach.

until the program accepts these movies on its own merits .. maybe Tags is your best way to find these 'tagged' titles till new profiler  3.9  or more ..

Create a custom media type.  Label it $K or UHD.  Download an image.  Make it small.

You can then sort and filter for it...
