I don't know how many changes has been made to this edition, but it still confuses the heck out of me.
It makes me even question myself if I know the rules how to contribute BD/DVD combos.

Anyway. So the parent profile has all discs ticked (3D BD, BD, DVD) and since the 3D BD child profile was removed, because the data for it should be in the parent profile, the data became incorrect.
The 3D BD has no extras, which is common for those discs, but the specs say it's jam packed.

If you look at this disc and doesn't know much about how DVDProfiler works, you will for sure start scratching your head.

In my opinion, it should be that either the parent profile for editions such as this one is a shell (like a box set) and then follows the child profiles, which has all the discs.
As it is now, it is only confusing. And to me, it makes no logical sense.
Further, I think that all editions that house a movie over several discs, be it formats or "cuts", they should get their own child profiles.
Even if not many things may differ, at least running time will differ. Sometimes also e.g. aspect ratios.

However about the disc in question, I am just totally confused. Like, why not remove all child profiles "because it's all in the parent one"?
I'm sure this is not how it's supposed to be done?

As it is now, I'm not accepting the latest contribution for this disc, because it will remove the 3D BD from my collection.

I do agree with you, but how DVDP is currently configured it doesn't work.  For example BD/DVD combo packs, the DVD children are optional because many don't want to track the DVD children, they only care about the Blu-ray.  I'm not in the camp, but I can see why they don't care about DVDs in this scenario.

This goes hand in hand with IMO the biggest problem of DVD profiler, having countless profiles for each film, not to mention no centralized cast/crew db

So while it maybe a mess, when it comes to 3D combos, the parent has all the info for all the releases and then any no 3D gets children.  I do as you prefer, keeping each profile only containing date for it's media type.  Of course, this is just in my local, I don't have a single profile that contains more than one media type, and yes it does make it a pain in the ass to contribute sometimes.
