| Posted: | | | | Is there an easy way to contribute cast to a profile? A scrupt or tool to fetch the case and add it to dvdprofiler.
I think I spent half an hour adding cast members to a single episode for a show. I took the cast from IMDB. |

| Posted: | | | | From end credits. That is even more work. Why doesn't IMDB allow cast to be taken from their site? I could just say it is taken from my memory after reading IMDB...
Though add it from IMDB and verify by watching the end credits. More dull work I do not think exists. | | | Last edited: by DJViking |

Though add it from IMDB and verify by watching the end credits. More dull work I do not think exists. 1. It's a legal issue and 2. I find a fair amount of IMDb credits (from how an actor/actress is credited to their character names) are inaccurate. |

| Posted: | | | | I could retrieve the cast information from another profile. I wish I did that to begin with before I created a new profile.
Is there an easy way to copy the cast/crew list from one existing profile to another? | | | Last edited: by DJViking |

Menu DVD -> Copy, Paste Thanks. Did not know of that feature. Makes it much easier. |

Since Invelos is a business, it can't be used either. But is Invelos using the user-built database for commercial purposes? It sells the software that uses it to be sure, but it makes no profit from the database itself. Whether a given profile exists or not in the db, whether it contains a list of episodes or not, whether the list of episodes, if present, was taken from the credits, theTVdB or the DVD packaging, the Invelos product has the same price and presumably Invelos has the same revenue. Or is the argument that Invelos actually sells more of its software if the profiles contain a list of episodes from TheTVdB? | | | Last edited: by Wigram |
