I know that this is a little late for some of you, but I was getting my annual Christmas Eve movie off of the shelf and was curious what everyone else watched.

Christmas Eve:  Miracle on 34th Street (the original)
Christmas:  The Santa Clause
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

We don't watch anything in particular as a rule, but so far today we've watched Christmas in Connecticut and Remember the Night.

We may watch The Bishop's Wife later if the football game doesn't get better.

Like Scott, we don't watch anything specific as a rule.  Tonight we watched Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, which is my favorite Christmas special of all time.

Not sure what exactly we'll watch tomorrow, but given the snow it might be White Christmas, or I also want to watch Santa Claus Conquers the Martians before the season is up...

A check of last year shows we didn't watch anything on Christmas Eve (must have worked late or something), and we watched The Holiday on Christmas Day, and I wouldn't mind watching that again.  So who knows...
If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

Die Hard, because nothing on Earth is more cringe inducing than Bruce Willis's ad libbed soliloquy into the walkie talkie. Actors need to act dialog written by writers; editors need to edit.
If it wasn't for bad taste, I wouldn't have no taste at all.

Tonight we watched Trading Places which sort-of qualifies, as it occurs between Christmas and New Years...

Tri orisky pro Popelku (Tri oríšky pro Popelku) / Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel / Three Nuts for Cinderella / Tre nøtter til Askepott - daytime on Christmas Eve. Every year...

One of the few movies dubbed to Norwegian, w/o subtitles. Dubbed by one single MAN that is. For all roles

I usually always try to watch these on the 24th/25th:

Black Christmas

Silent Night, Bloody Night (I wish somebody would release a good DVD already!)

Silent Night, Deadly Night

Christmas Vacation

I still haven't decided what I want to watch today... I still haven't watched many in my collection. But I got so much new Christmas shows this year... there was no way to get to it all.

I am not sure if I want to go classic and watch It's a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th St. or if I want to go horror and watch Black Christmas and the Tales from the Crypt Christmas episode... or something else.

No special christmas list here, just the usual brave fight against the ever-growing tower of unwatched DVDs.

But I happened to see 'A Very Supernatural Christmas' (Supernatural, 3.08) this week and liked it.

Terry Pratchett's Hogfather on Christmas Eve
and
Bad Santa on Christmas
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
