If you get "the same message everyone else gets" you need to list your sources for all of the data. I get most of my submissions approved, even a few with 'no' votes. Just list where the data comes from. pdf I did that. And even tried a test. I re-submitted invelos data for a movie with invelos' OWN database info and it was declined. Yup, you read correctly. Invelos data already verified and approved was declined. So whatever system that verifies data, disapproves of its own data? Not worth the effort until whatever bug they have gets fixed or whatever. Like I said earlier, doesn't matter to me as I'd rather review and vote then to submit anyway. That Microsoft stock doesn't do ya much good if you still need to deliver pizza's. | | | Attracted to "svelte buoyant waterfowl". | | | Last edited: by Opus T. Penguin |

| Posted: | | | | I often find if I get a decline, it just me makes want to go back and recheck my submission and lo and behold I find I've made a mistake, I then withdraw the offending part or correct it and it usually gets approved. |

If it doesn't matter to you...why are you complaining about it? Where do you see complaining? Grow some thicker skin marshmallow. Better yet, take a lesson in comprehension. That way maybe you'll not make yourself look stupid by calling an observation a complaint. | | | Attracted to "svelte buoyant waterfowl". | | | Last edited: by Opus T. Penguin |

Where do you see complaining? Grow some thicker skin marshmallow. Better yet, take a lesson in comprehension. The whole post sounds like a complaint to me. Well not the last sentence, that is a personal attack. You follow that post with another personal attack on someone else. Seems to me you're pretty unhappy about something with all of this and if we go by what you have said, it's because your contribution was declined. | | | Dan | | | Last edited: by Dan W |

| Posted: | | | | And for people who think I'm complaining, it's true, but not because I do not contribute anymore. I'm complaining because when I look for a new title, I do not find it in the database. And then I make the job, and keep it for myself, so the next one will also not find it in the database.
All was correct before the month of june. I think people were happy with my 400 contributions (new titles only, and quite none have been recontributed), and I was happy with others' contributions.
Why all that off putting system that is killing contributions ?? | | | Images from movies |

Perhaps, but the author of this thread did... and he is not the first one to write the same thing, you should read previous posts... The problem is not the version (great), it is the system of approval. Many contributors don't speak english, and they contribute as the system ask to do it after a change. But they don't understand why their contribution is refused... | | | Images from movies |

Most people who do not want to testify they have recopied errors are flying away from contributing. If you are referring to the overview this is nothing new. It has been in the rules that way from the beginning. Not sure how it would now chase people away, a couple of years after it was implemented. |

| Posted: | | | | I used to contribute (probably around 50 profiles), but now I stopped completly. I'll only contribute covers, not profiles... Same reason as you... I think that verifying current data would be more useful (for example, multiple entries for same actor, but different spelling: e.a Nicole de Boer, making it impossible to cross-reference...). Current actor DB is a complete mess IMHO... |
