For example if a paragraph in the Overview starts out with a vastly oversized (and bold) first letter of a word, do we enter it as bold as well? The rules say "any words" but nothing exactly regarding single letters or single characters. Since the first letter is much bigger and of a different font, you can't really tell whether it is bold style or just a fatter/bolder font. Therefore I would not use the style attribute bold in this case. Besides it would really look ugly. |

Several contribution votes made it clear that this was something that wasn't very clearly understood in the rules however. So Ken, please update the rule to word it out more clearly. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I just encountered another nice little formatting oddity - have a look at this: If it wasn't for the film title in italics, I'd never even thought of putting the entire overview in bold. But that film title, which is not only in italics but, more importantly, NOT bolded, does seem to indicate that all other text is actually bold. So it seems like we'll end up with a fully bolded overview, except the words The Sweetest Thing... |

There is a large protion in normal style and a few words in italics which happen to be also lighter than normal. And we don't reproduce light style. |

| Posted: | | | | I've modified the overview rule as follows:
Use the Bold and/or Italic features for any words in the overview that are bold and/or italic as needed to match the case. Exceptions: If the entire overview uses an uppercase or lowercase font, enter the overview using standard capitalization rules for the locality of the DVD. Do not bold or italicize individual letters (as in the case of dropped capitals beginning a paragraph). | | | Invelos Software, Inc. Representative |

In that case, I would say no, as there is currently no way of emulating this type o layout in DVD-P... EDIT: Oh, Never mind - didn't see Kens post before I wrote this... | | | The future is here.
