| Posted: | | | | You keep claiming that the "copyrighted title" is the accurate title, but as several people have pointed out, there is no such thing. You can copyright a work, not a title. If the title was copyrighted, then there couldn't be two works with the same title.
The title in the copyright database is just a key field to identify works in the database. It has - as far as I can tell - no legal standing in itself.
And - as I have pointed out before - what is accurate as far as DVD Profiler concerns is solely defined by the rules, not by any outside source. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

What about what I say is that hard for you to comprehend. It was NOT I who introduced the concept of the Copyrighted Title. I repeat what I have ALREADY said NUMEROUS times, there is ONE answer, whatever it is, INCLUDING possessives and perhaps even such things as Bud and Lou, Episodes whatever. There is NO IF THEN in an atempt to dispose of data that somebody doesn't like, that is for the local database ONLY. Sheeeesh you people are really dense or just have an overwhelming desire to fight with me. GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Posted: | | | | Assuming that it's somehow important who did "it" first, and assuming that "it" wasn't you, and assuming that you don't like "it" and would professionally prefer something else, why are you now doing "it" and voting against those who don't do "it" when all of those who used to do "it" have gotten behind the new rules that prohibit "it"?
This seems like one of those gotcha games where you can't be held responsible for your actions as long as you say that you believe it should be done some other way. The truth is that you are indeed responsible for your actions regardless of how you purport to have been driven to lawlessness by others.
It doesn't matter what you believe is right. It matters what you do. It's your actions that reveal who you are. If you care to rebuild your reputation, please stop contributing against the rules and please stop voting against those who do.
Your point has been made that you don't like the new rule. Your point has been made that you feel that others have broken the rules before you. To quote yourself: GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | | ...James

| Posted: | | | | Cute, Unicus, but you have very little comprehension and certainly no understanding, sorry guy. I don't know how much clearer I could possibly be, but all you want to do is fight and insult. You are not interested in even trying to comprehend anything. I have done evrything except put it on a platter and you(all) still want to argue, you must have a very miserable life. I feel very sorry for you and most of the others as well. I guess it would be the same thing that makes you believe that you have the ONLY valid viewpoint or interpretation. We have all seen this from you far too many times. Quote: When you are interested in having a discussion, instead of insulting and talking AT me, please let me know...I like discussion. You keep saying this but it is a complete fabrication. I have tried to have a discussion with you for several days now and you have refused to participate. I have asked, quite nicely I might add, for you to explain your interpretation. All you have done in response is dodge, deflect and throw out fish. So, please, quit saying this as if it were true. You have no interest in having a discussion of any kind. Quote: Let me point out, Bob that I did not attack anyone, there is no one named, but you did attack me INDIVIDUALLY. That is a pretty thin hair you are trying to split there isn't it? Sorry, but no. It is true that you did not attack any one individual, but you did attack an entire group of people. To be precise, you attacked anyone that dared to have an opinion that differed from yours. I guess you really do believe we are all that stupid. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. I wonder why the same isn't true when you make them? Oh, yea, I remember now...that would be the arrogance rising to the surface. Quote: I feel very sorry for you and most of the others as well. Quote: it is ALSO factually correct that the Credit Block is NOT FACTUALLY correct in ALL cases. Skip
You keep saying this Skip, hence why I asked the question. And I will ask it again....
can you please give me just a couple of examples where the credit block is incorrect
I have in fact documented several, richie, The John Carpenter titles are a fine example, sine the Original hypothesis was that the credit block would give the Copyrighted titel and it does NOT.
Skip No, give me some examples that are incorrect. The JC ones are fine, where applicable his name is within quotes and part of the title, where it is not his name is outside of the quotes and not part of the title. Skip What and whose original hypothesis?? Again I ask, have you got some examples of where the credit block/billing block is completely wrong? NOTE - WE ARE NOT STUPID,YOU DO NOT NEED TO CAPITALISE WORDS FOR EMPHASIS IN EVERY REPLY. | | | |

Skip I don't believe anyone has claimed that the Credit Block will yield the Copyrighted title. It has been shown without a doubt that the Copyright Office is far from infallible. Based on what I ave seen, the Credit Block has been correct 100% of the time. | | | Hal |
