Sorry, but I still think all this is a bad idea for the quality of the database. | | | Images from movies |

| Posted: | | | | And that have nothing to do with the idea here. You are against the way the credits are entered in the database and everybody here know that already. I'm also against some of the practices used in the database, but you don't read me going over and over and over and over about them... I just don't care and do it my way for me only. In the long run it's my way that count for me and nobody force me to use what I don't like in the database.
You want to see it done differently and as a user you have every rights to disagree with the way the thing are done. But this suggestion is about the way we do actually and is a good way to have a single repositary for the credit names. So the fact that someone agree or not with the common name system had nothing to do with this suggestion at all. Talk about it in the features request sub-forum where the core change suggestions to DVDP belongs to.
Don't take this message as an approval of the way the name linking system works currently. I've my problem with it also, but I just think that my critic of the system have nothing to do with the thread and are off-topic. |

Sorry, but I still think all this is a bad idea for the quality of the database. Well I can just take comfort in that you are in the low minority on this (at least this part of it). Going back into this thread you said... You paid for this program and you expect to get what you want. So tell me... how does this work? You paid and do not want this. Well we all paid too... and we want this. Why should you get what you want on this... and not the many of us that also paid? Or the other way around... whys should we get this just because we paid our money. All we paid for is to license the program (the right to use the program) When it comes to everything else it is completely Ken's choice. We can give suggestions on what we would like to see... but then it is up to Ken. | | | Pete | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

Sorry, but I still think all this is a bad idea for the quality of the database. I don't see how this will impact the quality of the database in a negative way. If anything, the opposite should occur. Of course it will take a bit of getting used to but that is to be expected with anything new. I am always open to new ideas and hope this will end up making the database even better. |
