Since this seems to have wandered a bit, I'll just re-state my issue:

Submissions are being posted stating that uncredited cast are being removed because:

The submitter can't find supporting information - for all submissions like this that I have voted no for, I have been able to find supporting information within a minute. To me, this means that the submitter did not do any real research.

Since we're not allowed to copy data from a third party database it seems unlikely that you could do proper research (which, from the submissions page means visually identifying uncredited cast within the film) within one minute.

Looks too much like IMDB - the assumption here is that the information in IMDB came from nowhere, with no providence. This assumption is clearly incorrect.

No, the assumption is that if it looks like IMDB data but has no documentation indicating that it was independently arrived at that it probably is IMDB data, which is not allowed.  Proper documentation (i.e. your visual identification of the actors in question from the film itself) would solve the problem.

Analyze This has uncredited cast that are archive footage and photos of gangsters from the 50s & 60s.
I didn't remove them from the database, but I did remove them in my personal. If people want cr*p like this
in the database so be it.

Actually, unless I missed it, they are not.  Deleted scenes, yes, but not archival footage.  Not listing them is a forum agreement.

Hmmmm, I wonder when that was removed. It used to specifically state  not to use archival footage.

Yea, I thought so too...until I went and re-read it.  Life would be so much easier if it were there.

Or much more complicated, just imagine the endless discussions on "Forrest Gump" (again and again and ...)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
