Thanks, greyghost and scotthm. Taken together your responses explain why I can't do what I want to do, and also help me accomplish the underlying task much more quickly.

I'd like to re-use the same cover image across multiple DVDs. When adding a DVD series to the database, I generally want one profile per DVD, rather than using child profiles. The cover image will be the same.

Example: The Forsyte Saga has 3 disks. DVDP sees this as one entry, but I want to see three disks
»Forsyte Saga Disk 1
»Forsyte Saga Disk 2
»Forsyte Saga Disk 3

I use a retrieval system based on boxes and slots, with one box-slot per physical DVD. (I realize I can put multiple disks in one profile, each with their own box-slot pair. I prefer not to have to refer to the description to get the location, but instead put that info in the collection listing.)

I can add each DVD manually, no problem. To get the cover image, I'd like to re-use the cover image I downloaded for the first disk... but I can't figure out how to re-use that image. I end up creating a new image, then adding that image to the database. This works, but I think I'm getting a lot of duplicate image entries that are bloating up my database.

Is there a way to re-use the same cover image in multiple individual DVD profile?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I hope I'm using the word "profile" correctly -- I mean "the set of information about one DVD in the currently-displayed DVDP database".
