I look around the world for a 3D version first, then 4K. If there doesn't seem to be any chance that it will ever come out on 4K, I will buy the Blu-ray. TV stuff, if there's no Blu-ray in sight, or the occasional Special Interest is all I buy in DVD format.

Update: The last DVD I bought was November 2018, Robin Williams from Time Life. Before that was April 2018, then skip all the way back to May 2015.

Under DVD/Personal (Ctrl-P) you will find Location and Slot to track where they are.

Have you rebuilt the database on the PC and confirmed that the images you want are there? Then connect to your PC and update each device from your PC.

The short answer is Yes, but it depends on what you are trying to accomplish after you move them. I am assuming you are moving them from one collection list to another within a single database.

The best I can tell both were released on the same day. How can you tell which one was first? There are already alternate versions created for other versions.

Not sure why you can't drag and drop because I do it all the time. You can also, add the person, highlight them and use Ctrl up and down arrow. If you add it to the Art section it will jump to the episode above in the bottom of the art section then up one person until you reach the top of that section and jump to the next episode, etc.

When dragging and dropping, you must drag to the same section (i.e. John Smith...Visual Effects, when you drag him from episode 10 to episode 9 it must be somewhere in the Art section. If you want him in episode 5, you must go to the top of the crew list and it will start scrolling up on its own until you reach the episode you want, then move down (keeping the click and hold until you reach the appropriate section) to stop the scroll and place him somewhere in the Art section.

I hope this is as clear as mud.

I take it, if I use HTML for my overviews I should not contribute them?

You could:
1. create a tag "loaned to..."
2. flag all the movies you want to loan
3. click Collection|Flagged|Set Tags... and choose the tag you created.

You then can do a find Ctrl-F choose the Tags tab and click on the tag you created and that's what will show. Don't forget to "Clear All Filters" when you are done.

As far as I know, 4K does not have a frame rate.

If and when the time comes to migrate away from DVDP, I would definitely be interested in something new that has annual costs to maintain the DB.

Again, only if invelos goes away. I love this program because of the flexibility built in. Yes, a few things need to be fixed and/or changed, and obviously are not going to get done.

One of them probably has the Von (von) as the middle name and the other has it as Von (von) Sydow as the last name only.

You could try using tags with parents and children.

Gladiator in this one is the 1992 version, not the 2000 version. I only discovered this after spending about 15 minutes searching in the 2000 version.
