Being very nervous about losing my large DVD Profiler database, I finally figured out how to install Windows 10 on my non-supported iMac using Bootcamp. I then bought the PC version of DVD Profiler. This should allow me to export my collection in order to transfer it to another app when, not if, DVD Profiler goes belly up. So far so good. I'll update this post as things progress.

Invelos may go belly up eventually, but DVD Profiler should work as long as Microsoft supports 32 bit applications, and that should be for quite a while. And even if that support should stop in the future, you can still keep Win 10 on your computer.

Losing the online database would be a bit of an inconvenience, but you wouldn't lose your local database. Just make sure you take regular backups (and not just uploading your collection).

Point taken. Up til now I have been using my online database as my backup. I guess I'll have to rethink that.
