From Justin to Kelly with the top 2 contestants from the first season of American Idol: Justin Guarini and Kelly Clarkson. I own a copy. My kids love it. I've never seen it...but have been "present" when it's playing.    It has a 1.8 rating at IMDb.

Hmmmm...

After seeing the result I too have a hankering to watch Battlefield Earth again!

Luckily... I only have it on VHS and my video player has recently been declared deceased. (Probably through lack of use!)

Hopefully the urge to watch it will evaporate before I get a replacement!

You know I don't know why everyone is negative  on Blair Witch Project.,
I would have LOVED to put money into that project..

Here are the stats for  Blair Witch and Battlefield Earth :

Grossed $140,530,114 (1100 screens)  8 weeks (USA) budget $    35,000  - BlairWitch Project
Grossed $  21,471,685 (3307 screens)  8 weeks (USA) budget $73,000,000  - Battlefield Earth

Do the Math.. which of these two was a huge hit? I don't believe there has every been another two  films-  to turn in such numbers as BOTH of  these quote 'worst films '  in the history of the motion picture business .

I bought Blair Witch Project and am glad I did, will never try and hide that from anyone.,,
But  If you have Battlefield Earth in your database.., Quickly pull it out and give it away as a gift to anyone you don't like, and they will thank you for the gratuity, and your library will increase in bonus points by 10%  ..

I think Blair Witch was a victim of its own, very clever, hype. A lot of naive audiences and some critics were disappointed by it by the time they saw the Scariest Film Ever (tm). But they forgot they were watching what was essentially a student film. On its own merits, it's more than excellent. I do think The Blair Thumb was better though...

Now, I don't own Battlefield Earth, but I do remember my jaw dropping at how astonishingly bad it was. It was on such a huge scale! And the bigger the effects, the worse it got. Terry, who could you possibly give it to who would "thank you for the gratuity"? I'd expect a punch on the nose!

I think the film with the worst budget-gross ratio is "The Adventures of Pluto Nash":
Grossed $4,420,080 (2320 screens) (USA), budget $100,000,000
