Funny, looked at a couple of pages of Hal and Johnd posts and they only seem to attack Skippy, don't know what hypocracy your seeing. Skip attacks anyone and most everyone. Correct Skip and looks like problem fixes itself. Botom line is that they ARE being rude.  I don't care if it's only directed at Skip - rude is rude.  Two wrongs don't make a right, and all that.  The hypocracy comes when they initiate the attack against Skip - and don't try to tell me they don't, because I have seen them do this.  Without Skip saying anything against either of them, they will jump into a thread that Skip has posted in just to berate him.  That is no better than Skip berating someone else.  If you can't see that, you aren't looking very closely.  You are doing it yourself, by calling him "Skippy."  IF you feel that you can freely insult someone and are justified in doing so, you are indeed part of the problem rather than of the solution.

Sure, they are being rude, but to a goal, and that's to try make the problem child go away. They aren't telling people to be nice and then attacking someone who doesn't even know them, like Skippy does to newbies. Heck, I bet they would be the first to admit that they are being rude in the cases you mention, would Skippy? Don't think so. Skippy doesn't think he is, he thinks is merely defending himself. You defending him doesn't help the cause either, I would say that you are more a part of the problem than I am. By defending him, you are only confirming his belief. He doesn't think like normal people, as far as I can tell. Hence the terms, Skiplogic and Skipocryp.

The only affect I've ever seen in being nice to Skippy, was that it gave him the idea that he was superior. He wants everyone to try and understand his ideas, and how great they are. You can disagree if you want, but make sure you first tell him how much you appreciate his idea first. He will then respond to you is some completely off topic remark also saying that you are wrong and that his idea is so much better. You better at this point conceed the arguement otherwise you are at risk of offending him.

Point I'm trying to make is that if you take away Hal, Johnd or everybody who attacks Skip away from this forum, the forum isn't going to get any better, because you are still going to have Skip pretending that he is better than everyone else and talking down to everyone. You take away Skip, you will get rid of most of the insults and the forum will improve on it's own.

I'm pretty sure the horse has effectively been beaten to death, here.  Let's just wait for the voting system and let god (Ken?  ) sort them out.

Hehe true, and why does so many users here use so much time and energy to turn every single post into a skip bashin fest? I do not care that they do not like skip and I would prefer taht they would:

A. Shut up.
B. Shut up and stop complaining
C. Stop behaving like small children

They can pick any but both AB and C complie to most of the offenders. I too belive that many users here will start to wonder why they got so many "shame shame on you" votes.

Strange they do not see that we are fed up?
