Really?  We had a huge discussion about this, quite some time ago, and the majority felt they should be included.  I figured it had already been done.

The discussion was at InterVocative and I believe in that database we may have had the crazy-credits, at least for some of those 6 profiles. However, apparently whoever uploaded the profile(s) at Invelos didn't update to that. I may be wrong of course (the old contrib notes for the Special Edition I own do not indicate the contribution of the llamas).

True. The UK profile at least had the llamas included back at Intervocative (and I still have them included). The one that uploaded the profile to Invelos didn't include them so it's not in the DB now.

And you are undoubtedly the best at determining the filmmaker's intent and whether it is a joke or just maybe the filmmaker was making a some form of comment. Puhlease. That is why we do As Credited, or WYSIWYT.

And now for something completely different
I've edited the profiles cast and up to now the response is quite positive. Thanks to you all for your help and for not taking this too serious (It's Monty Python you know).

My question now is:
How to credit this?

And here we go again....

This reminds me of another famous piece of film history...

"The same procedure as last year, mylady?"
"The same procedure as every year, James."

To cut it short, someone please post the link to the old Intervocative thread, then those interested in discussing this again can go back and read it all... again

That was my argument back at IVS.  The rules for crew do, indeed, use the words 'person' and 'people'.  By comparison, the rules for cast use the word 'actor'.  While llamas can be actors, I don't know of a single definition that would allow them to be 'people'.

As you can guess, the "people" at IVS felt I was splitting hairs.  I don't own the film, so I defered to the majority.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

Well, after enjoying this thread really very much, an innovative idea came to my mind concerning the question if we should credit the llamas or not *drum rolls* :

commonsense ®*

Ever thought about this?

*applicable to many other situations

As far as I know, this is only famous in Germany and the German speaking neighbourhood.
