| | Posted: | | | | I am trying to contribute with a change on "Apocalyptoca Live" and I get the message "DVDs from this locality should use NTSC video standard. The thing is that the regioncode is "0" (no- or all regioncodes) and is PAl video. How can i get around this? The previous contributer obviously did. |

| | Posted: | | | | Yeah, probably you have to change the locality setting for this profile. You can do that by going to "DVD" in the top bar of the programme and then choose "Change Locality" to match the DVD in question.
The previous contributor probably contributed at a time when this check (for the match between locality and NTSC/PAL) was not yet in place.
BTW, when you change the locality, one of two things can happen: either there is already a profile for that locality in the Invelos database. In that case you might want to compare it to yours before downloading it. You can do that by choosing "Online", then "Refresh DVD from Invelos", then "Preview Changes".
Or there is no profile for that locality in the central database yet, in which case you can contribute it as a New Contribution. In that case, be sure to mention in your contribution notes where you got the data from, especially the cast and crew data.
If it turns out the existing profile is for the wrong locality, that profile should be deleted from the Invelos database. You can do that by changing the DVD title to "Screeners please delete this profile", and explaining in the contribution notes that the profile is for the wrong locality and that there already is a profile in the database for the correct locality (mention the locality). However, don't do this until you're sure it exists for the right locality! |
