| Posted: | | | | Hi,
I am adding the season discs to a seaon profile. When I enter these I uncheck "Download from Invelos". After that the Title field is enabled.
If DVDP recognizes the disc it sets a default, e.g "Angel: Season two: Disc 1". When I change that title to something else and press "Add DVD" it adds the DVD - but with the old title.
The curious thing is: sometimes it does work, sometimes it doesn't. I can't prove it but I have the feeling that it has something to do whether I change the locality in the Add DVD dialog or not. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | You will have to change it manually if you are accepting the downloaded data file. If you build the profile from scratch by unchecking don't download, then you can call it anything you want. The downloaded title is part of the entire file and you can't accept part of it. Its all or nothing. Then you can edit it.

| Posted: | | | | Even if I uncheck "Download" the profile isn't completely empty.
As I said the title is coming through, no matter what I enter. Production Year, Region Codes, Genres and Rating is also entered. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | Let me give an example 1) I enter the disc and press Add DVD. 2) I uncheck download and the title field becomes editable 3) I change title (in this case to "test") and locality 4) I press "Add DVD", the personalization screens comes up, I press ok and open the profile. It looks like this: Not so empty after all and my title "test" has gone AWOL. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | I think the way it works, correct me if I'm wrong, is that even though you uncheck "Download Profile from Invelos" the profile for that Disc ID is already in your personal database and DVD Profiler recognizes it and completes the fields with the info it has. If you keep "Download Profile from Invelos" checked then you will get the latest updated profile from the Invelos Db for that Disc ID. You will still have to manually change the title to the way you want it. Am I wrong . | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

The question remains why the program allows to enter a title (screenshot 3) but doesn't transfer it into the profile (screenshot 4) | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

The question remains why the program allows to enter a title (screenshot 3) but doesn't transfer it into the profile (screenshot 4) Because the Title is not editable in the personalization screen. If you right click on a title in the collection window and choose "Personalize", the title is not included as something that can be personalized. Changing the title can only be done in the edit screen. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |

I guess it would be considered a bug if the title is included there and is not saved when edited. If it's there for display purposes it should be locked for editing. In the normal "Personalization" window the title is not displayed. Only the Sort Title is and is editable. | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection | | | Last edited: by Bad Father |
