Hi

I am wondering if it is possible to not upload the entire db without having to backup/filter/delete/upload/reaload ?

I am thinking particulary about box-sets that I want to tag. In the database on my computer I want as much info as possible an want to set films part of collections where that is the case. But when you have a box with 2 dvds theis results in 3 entries in the db. Some times you want the online collection to show the set other times you want it to show the induvidual dvds but not the box.

Is there a way to do this? For instance set tags on what you don't want to upload, filter it and only upload filtered content?

The only solution I see for now is working with more then one database. Where one would be the online collection for you.
Sources for one or more of the changes and/or additions were not submitted. Please include the sources for your changes in the contribution notes, especially for cast and crew additions.

You could mark them as "adult" and then disable "adult" title for online. But that is only a workaround

Feature Request: 'Upload' dialog as complex as 'Export' dialog

Create a second database: File>Open Database> Select "New Database...". Restore your original database into the new database so that your new database will be a clone of the original. Now, in the new database flag all the profiles you don't wish to upload to your online collection and save the flag set. Now remove the flagged profiles from your collection (new database) and upload it to your online collection. Clear as mud?

8ball: tahts about the same as backup/filter(flag) /delete/upload/restore. The problem is that i find this a complicated way of uploading and I end up not doing the upload so often.

Same with 2 databases. At some point you end up with som missmatch and you have a mess.

The adult-trix is the best workarund for now, but it would have been cool to have this as a uploadfeature.

Two possibilities - the profile hasn't been submitted to the database yet (most likely being a non-R1) or it's been submitted and still pending.

As a user-built database, someone has to put the work forth to get it out there.  If it doesn't show up within a week after your edition was released, download the same profile but for a different locality and update it with your UPC & locality and then make sure everything else matches your copy.  Then submit so that others from down under can benefit from it.
