| | Posted: | | | | As I recall, this movie was made in 2001, but was shelved and never released theatrically (at least not domestically). It eventually appeared in European R2 DVD releases (I think the Netherlands release was first - certainly that's the one I have, and at the time I bought it I believe it was the only one available). Throughout this time it was known only as "Beyond the City Limits", including in the opening credits.
Later (2003/4) it was renamed to "Rip It Off" for a US video/DVD release. I don't have that release but I assume the opening credits were changed to match.
The US "Rip It Off" release should have "Beyond the City Limits" in the original title field, but any of the earlier releases that use "Beyond the City Limits" as the title already should have the original title field blank. | | | | Last edited: by TheFly |

| | Posted: | | | | I've been trying to find some documentation to back up my claims (which are based on my memories of 6-7 years ago). This is the best I can come up with. Firstly, an interview with one of the actors conducted in January 2002. This predates the US DVD release and the existence of the name "Rip It Off". Key quote: Quote:

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, you're saying that the Original Title field should be used not in fact for the original title, but the US home video title. I can't find any basis for this in the rules. The correct thing to do is approach it from the other angle, and include "Beyond the City Limits" in the Original Title field of any profile that uses "Rip It Off" (or anything else) as the DVD release title. |

I have therefore resubmitted it myself with "Rip It Off" removed and specifying this thread as documentation. |
