| Posted: | | | | hi, I've been using DVDProfiler Mobile on my Cingular 8525 (HTC Hermes) for over a year now... I've flashed numerous WM6.0 roms and DVDProfiler Mobile worked flawlessly, but now I've tried three different WM6.1 roms and I can install it fine, I can see my collection just fine, but everytime I click on a cast/crew's name to see what else they've been on, the program cratches. |

| Posted: | | | | Not sure if this will work but have you tried a Database Repair on your desktop DVD Profiler and re-synced with DVD Profiler Mobile? | | | My WebGenDVD online Collection |

| Posted: | | | | thx for the replies, I'll try it in a couple days. Although at this point, I suspect it being due to the "unofficial roms" I've been using. I have a HTC Tytn (Hermes)... I'll post the results back later |

| Posted: | | | | So I ran the repair database utility and still get the same error. When I synchronize with a my ppc for the first time, I get the following error once it gets to "Cast and Crew Index"
"Cannot create file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner.PeRsOnAl\My Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases\PeRsOnAl\CastCrewCache.dod"
... so the computer hangs when that happens, and the following shows at the bottom:
"Caching cast/crew data..."
... I then have to cancel out of that screen; and after that I click on synchronize again, and it goes through every step very quickly and gives me a successful synchronization message.
PS: I've noticed that in that folder the specified "CastCrewCache.dod" file is the only file that wasn't modified recently. i.e.: all the other files were modified on 7/15/08 and this particular ".dod" file was modified on 6/27/08.
hope somebody can help me out here. thx |

| Posted: | | | | okay, I'm happy to report that it now works. I had the "DVD Profiler" folder under "My Documents" set as a hidden folder. After I changed it back to a regular folder (not hidden), DVD Profiler was able to write the .dod file.
I'm not sure if this even counts as a bug or not, it just seems weird that out of all those files, that one is the only one that can't be changed again if it's hidden.
Anyways, problem solved, thanks for all your help |
