This may be good to pin so we can use it to clean up audio once the problem with formats is fixed, which I believe Ken has indicated will be the next release.

First off, almost all movies with DTS HR, DTS MA or Dolby TrueHD are wrong. 7.1 tracks account for under 10% of releases.

The following have 4.0 audio tracks:
Arachnophobia (Europe)
Barabbas (original release)
A Bridge Too Far (Blu-ray)
The Buddy Holly Story
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (movie)
Bus Stop
The Comancheros
Dead Poets Society (original release)
Demetrius and the Gladiators
Edward Scissorhands (all releases)
The Five Heartbeats (all version)
The Fury
Grand Canyon
High and Low (Criterion)
The Hunters
Island in the Sun
Less Than Zero
Let's Make Love
The Longest Day (Blu-ray and Cinema Classics)
The Lost World (2-Disc Collector's Edition)
Love is a Many-Splendored Thing (Studio Classics)
Lucas
Moscow on the Hudson
The Natural (original)
North to Alaska
Omen IV: The Awakening
Peyton Place
Point Break (SE and Blu-ray)
River of No Return
The Robe (Special Edition DVD and Blu-ray)
Robocop (20th Anniversary and Blu-ray)
Runaway
Sheriff of Fractured Jaw
Sleeping Beauty (Platinum edition DVD and Blu-ray)
Slums of Beverly Hills (European releases)
South Pacific (Blu-ray)
St. Elmo's Fire
The Story of Ruth
The Towering Inferno (Special Edition)
The Undefeated
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (Global Warming Edition)
Wall Street (original)
White Water Summer

The following have 4.1 audio:
Arachnophobia (US)
The Color of Money
Point Break (original)
The Sound of Music (Five Star Collection)
Tora! Tora! Tora!

Please put in any additions and corrections and I'll try to maintain this.

Please , can we have region code in the list? Maybe UPC?

Keep up the good work.

I pieced it together from various DVD review sites, mostly DVD Beaver. I specified a version when I knew there to be differences.

DD 4.0 is already enterable, but 4.1 isn't.

So it is. That's a recent additon. I need to clean up this list and resubmit a bunch of stuff. I should add that the graphic is wrong. 4.0 means three in front and one in back in all instances I am aware of. The current graphic is quadrophonic, which was never a movie format.

I've just tested my copy of Lucas & although the cover shows Front Left/Right & Rear Left/Right, my receiver reports it as Front Left/Center/Right & Surround. It's possible that the oft used 4.0 graphic was used across the board even when it's not accurate.

In my humble opinion, the best way to tackle such issues is to split the number of channels and the codec in two seperate fields.

Currently, when we enter DTS HD MA, it could be 5.1 or 7.1. Splitting the fields will allow to more easily make any necessary combination without creating an 5 screens long list.

Just my 2 cents on the matter ...

That's what I & others suggested a few months ago & IIRC Ken was considering it.

Actually, on the new Highlander BluRay (5050582565188, Region A/B, locality France, but probably the same disk throughout Europe and North America)(*), some tracks are claimed to be DTS HD MA 2.0. See back cover. So stereo only, be it lossless...

(*) Edit: New scans submitted, still in voting...
Eric

If it is important, say it. Otherwise, let silence speak.

I heard about that too. A splitting in two fields for the codec and number of channels would immediately allow you to enter the audio as DTS HD MA 2.0. Let's hope Invelos includes this feature in a future update

Asterix in Amerika
          DE 4006680068992
disc ID 488A-9EAB-686B-1F0A

has 2 DTS HD MA 3.1 audiotracks, but there is no option for it, so I choose DTS HD MA 3.0 instead
