I'm not showing anything that looks out of the ordinary or anything that is hard to believe. It is totally legit. I was just checking out the picture and picture feature. When each individual input is set to a 4:3 or standard display it is equivalent to 29 inch 4:3 tv. But since most of the time I am not using picture and picture I have everything set to widescreen, so when I do do picture and picture the screens are a bit smaller (its like having two letter boxed images right next to each other) that is what you are seeing with the hexic hd side it is letter boxed whereas the xbmc side is standard 4:3 fullscreen. I have played a system link game of halo 2 once on the same screen. 4 people on each system...all eight on this one screen. And as I said before each image is equivalent to a 29 inch screen so it wasn't completely impossible to play...not as fun when you are used to the full 60 inches for one player, but still tolerable. I also have it setup so I can have the sound from one imput come out the tv and another out my decoder. |

The black rectangle on the photo just looks... wrong. Or is there something attached to the front of the screen? Do you have another photo that's taken a bit from the side? | | Posted: | | | | oh, I understand now. Sorry. I'm so used to people asking about something being photoshopped because it looks fake. Yeah as 8ball showed that is my exact tv, well at least mine looks exactly like that. I was looking to buy a mitsubishi 831 line but they were not as common as the sony I got, so there wasn't as much competition driving the prices down. What really got me to buy this sony was that it came with a free bulb in the box. The only thing I don't like about it is that it only has 2 component imputs...but of course I knew that going in. |

This results in ~150" diagonal 16:9 picture.  My main seating is a group of 4 Coaster HT seats that I purchased as a part of AVS PowerBuy. Each seat is wired with 2 Bass Shakers connected to a separate 2 channel amp.  Image is projected from a Panasonic PT-AE2000U 1080P24 Projector. The image is incredibly life like and very quiet to boot.  My DVDs, Blu-rays, and HD-DVDs are arranged alphabetically into 2 separate racks. Each rack will hold ~800 discs. Rack 1 contains my US/European/Japanese/Hong Kong DVDs.  Rack 2 contains my Korean DVDs and HDMs (HD DVDs and Blu-rays)  Equipment rack contains 3 HD DVD players, Blu-ray player, D-VHS VCR, and HD DVR as well as HTPC and Laser Disc player. Skipping all the comments about the awsomeness of it all, this quoted part popped a question on my head. Since the paint is already light grey, have you ever considered painting it with Screen Goo? 2 colleagues of mine used it and are very satisfied with it, and with the image improvements it brought them. Especially in terms of image depth. I don't know how much of a difference it'd make in your already great setup, but, as I didn't know if you're aware of its existence, I remembered dropping the line for your consideration. You can select which one is the most appropriate for you in the Which Goo section of the site.
