| Posted: | | | | Hi Ken,
iPod Touch 4G DvdProfilerApp 2.01 IOS 5.1.1
The adding of DVD's by barcode does not work anymore. When I used it, the screen does not give the red bar anymore. I tried to use it anyway, but no barcode is recognized, I tried closer & further away, horizontal/vertical, nothing happened.
Some more info: the standalone pic2shop app still works ok, shows the red line and recognizes any barcode under a second. |

| Posted: | | | | eca, all you need to do is hold the camera over the barcode and after a while it should automatically recognize where the barcode is located and scan it. I tried it with barcodes of various sizes and they all scanned perfectly. I am using iOS 6, however. |

| Posted: | | | | The screen does not focus, however as far as I know a, ipod touch does not have a focus mechanism. I do not see any difference in sharpness however between the picshop app and dvdprofiler, the former scans any barcode while keeping the barcode centerend at about 50% screenwidth under the red line. I tried any zoom, any amount of light, horizontally and vertically but the dvd profiler app does not do anything with them. Do you want a screenshot of a barcode like I see them? |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, I'm having the same problem that eca is having. Since updating to DVD Profile for IOS 2.0.1, I'm only able to scan about 1 in 10 barcodes, when previously I had about a 99% success rate.
pic2shop still works fine for me too.

We've implemented a preference for scanning in the next update, to use the built-in scanner or pic2shop, which works better for devices without a focusing camera. | | | Invelos Software, Inc. | Posted: | | | | Heard great things about this, so purchased it for my iPad. I haven't been able to get the bar code scanner to work one time....I refuse to spend more money to buy pic2shop when I paid for an app that already has one. Suggestions? |

| Posted: | | | | Find and integrate a ipad compatible barcode reader, I have installed a barcode reading software on my ipad2, and it works well but not the same issue like yours. |
