| Posted: | | | | I am working on Grey's Anatomy: Season 8.... And need a little help with the subtitles as PowerDVD is giving me no help on identifying them... I have verified they are on the disc though... What is the last 2 subtitles? I am guess the last one would be Chinese? And no idea on the one before the last at all. Any help would be appreciated. I tried looking at the subtitle menu in PowerDVD... but it is listing the extras as English for some reason. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | When running PowerDVD: - Start an episode of your choice - Click with mouse on the "Available Subtitles"-button from the control fields at the bottom of the window - This should list all available subtitles spelled out in your local language | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | I don't have an Available Subtitles button. Maybe because I don't have the latest PowerDVD... I am using PowerDVD 11. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | It's there. Just move the mouse-pointer around a bit over the PowerDVD window. At the bottom of the window the control elements will show up Hover with the mouse over them to see what they are for (I don't have PowerDVD open right now, but if I recall correctly it's the first button from the left and may be called something like "Menus; Audio and more"). | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! | Posted: | | | | It is a menu that just says DVD with a down arrow....
And like on the content menu... anything other then English, Spanish & French is showing up as...
English 2 English 3 English 4
Which is actually Portuguese, Chinese and Thai. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Strange. Maybe you should switch to the German version then, here this tool works perfectly. BTW: Have you patched PowerDVD 11 to the latest version? Build 3901 of PowerDVD11 was released 03/18 and is available here | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up! But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

| Posted: | | | | Right clicking on the screen doesn't bring up an option for subtitles anymore? I'm using a slightly older version of PowerDVD, and when I right click, it has an option for subtitles, if I just hover over that it lists them all (spelled in English thankfully lol). | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

| Posted: | | | | Indeed, there are lots of DVDs where the audio or subtitle tracks haven't been flagged at all. I've discovered many that come up as 'unknown' for each and every language track. So you have to work them out yourself - which isn't easy. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |
