Unlike Hal, who is busily TRYING to remove Boxset data despite the consensus, ooo I forgot he is hiding behind HIS interpretation of the Rules.

And exactly when was the last time you saw a contribution from me removing boxset contents, Skip.

Talk about playing old tapes.

I vote consistently against boxset contents being added to TV Sets because contrary to your statement that it is my INTERPRETATION of the Rules, anyone who understands the English language knows that the Rules specific state that single season TV Sets are NOT to be considered boxsets.  You yourself agree that the cast, video and audio stuff should not be removed because they are not boxsets, yet on the other hand insist on adding boxset contents even though they are not boxsets.  Talk about contradictory!

OK, I admit that this may have happpened in the frenzy of trying to populate the new database.

If so, it was UNINTENTIONAL as I thought I was only only submitting NEW profiles that were not yet in the database!

Given that, how long ago was it?

It doesn't matter. If you did do it then you were covered by the rules.

Ok Hal, my bad. A long time ago I certainly understand trying to populate, that said Hal, I support the Compromise and will not Vote No on your version of data, it would certainly be nice to see you likewise support the compromise, after all there is a consensus, thoug I will say I would like Ken to deal with it SOON.

Indeed, a word from him or anyone else at invelos is what we really need. Surely they must be aware of the need for some kind of working solution for this problem.

As you well know, Skip, I have no problem with the creation and contribution of Child Profiles for TV Sets.  I have even contributed some myself.

My one and only beef with the "supposed" compromise is the addition of the child profiles to the parent profile as boxset contents.  This is a blatant violation of the Current Rules and voting yes for that is also a violation of the Rules.

I will not change my position on this until the Rules are changed or Ken makes a public statement authorizing this exception to the Rules.

This is where you and I part company, Hal. Not to be argumentative. Twice now the community has displayed a consensus on this, the SAME consensus. I am willing to recognize that as a compromise and go with it. In my view, you aren't interested in trying to resolve a problem, you want it your way or no way, and your way is the way YOU interpret the Rules. There is obviously no harm that is caused by the compromise, at least no that I have seen relative toi the Online it seems to handle the data quite nicely. You need to learn a bit about the art of Compromise, it is not the way I think it should be and the way I believe it will be ultimately, but it gets us a step closer.

Who's hiding?  The Rules are very clear when it comes to the "rare" cases where boxsets can be used for TV Sets.  There is no interpretation involved.  It is written in plain English!

The "user" community does not have the authority to over-ride the Rules that have been published by Invelos, I don't care how many people are "for it".  And you don't have the authority either, Skip!

As I said in my view, Hal, you have an agenda of your own.<sigh> It has to be your way or the highway, compromise is not part of your vocabulary, even when the obvious evidence screams the contrary at you.

And who's reading minds now, Skip?

I repeat, neither the the user community nor you have the authority to implement any compromise that over-rides Invelos' published Rules.

This is unbelieveable. If anyone here is unwilling to compromise, it's you Skip. It's only a discussion if everyone agrees with you. Really, what colour is the sky in YOUR world? And the worst part is that you actually believe what you are saying. Very scary.
