| Posted: | | | | Greetings: Tried a variant, got declined, wept for hours. In my DVD/Blu-ray purchasing years, I've come across the a number of discs that have new (and signifcantly different) covers. So, I figured the variant thing would be good for that. ("Two or more releases of the same title with largely different cover images.") The image covers I have can be found here If you check the DB, there's a different cover. So, am I missing the purpose of the variant? (As an aside, if I purchase a DVD/Blu with a variant, will I be asked to which one I want to add to my collection?) | Posted: | | | | That is definitely a valid variant. What were your contribution notes? | | | Registered: February 10, 2002 | | | Last edited: by greyghost |

| Posted: | | | | Open a support ticket from this link to inquire why your contribution was declined. It could be as simple as a clerical error. I had a variant declined too and the response was that it was a clerical error and they corrected it.

| Posted: | | | | OK, so I just went back and checked ... The profile was "Accepted" and the images were "Declined". I guess I must of missed that. So, I did something right. (I could have sworn everything was declined.)
I'm still anxious to see how this looks in the DB when all is said and done.
Thanks

| Posted: | | | | When Invelos reversed the declination for my contribution only the profile shows as accepted but the images still showed as being declined. I think this may be the way the software currently works because when I went to resubmit the images the same images showed up for the currently accepted images even though the contribution has yet to be released to the general public. |

| Posted: | | | | Just checked the database. If you buy the Italian Job with a UPC of 097361-183145, you get to choose between two covers.
Awesome. Wonder how many more of these I have.
