| Posted: | | | | I may be being completely thick here, but I can't figure out how to submit Box Set contents using 3.9!
I have a set of the two most recent Planet of the Apes films. Both are 'NOT FOR INDIVIDUAL SALE' editions so there is no barcode/UPC on the individual films.
I go to upload the first film 'By Inserted Disc' and it just shows me all versions using that Disc ID which are online (all with barcodes).
Even unchecking the 'Download Profile from Invelos' box doesn't help.
WTF?!
Thanks in advance, Neil | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Did you manage to get this figured out? It's possible no one's answering because everyone's confused I know I am. Unchecking the download profile from Invelos box doesn't do anything? Because after unchecking that box you should be able to add it to your local just using the Disc ID, complete the profile and upload it that way to the parent set. That really doesn't work hey? I'm a little stumped then. | | | The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play. |

| Posted: | | | | I'm not sure I'm understanding what GreyHulk is trying to ask. Did you create a variant ID? If not, then follow the following steps:
1) Select DVD -> Change UPC / Locality 2) Click the Select / Create Alternate Version arrow to expand the popup window 3) Select the Create New Alternate Version option 4) Click the OK button 5) A popup message will ask you to confirm this action. Select Yes.
You should be able to contribute the new alternate ID via the standard profile contribution method. |

| Posted: | | | | Let me try and simplify what I'm meaning to say ...
Originally you would contribute a Disc ID by inserting the DVD in your drive and creating a new profile based on that Disc ID.
Now, it would seem, you have to clone a previous entry to create a new Disc ID. And can only do it that way.
Really?!

| Posted: | | | | I saw this as well, I wanted to create a DVD Child by Disc ID and wasn't given a choice, so I had to go the clone route. Just an oversight I assume. | | | HDTV: 52" Toshiba Regza 52XV545U AVR: Onkyo TR-707 Speakers: Paradigm Monitor 7 v6, CC-190 & Atom Monitors Subwoofer: Definitive Technology ProSub 800 BD/DVD: Oppo BDP-93 (Region Free) HD PVR: Motorola DXC3400 500GB w/ 1TB Expander BD/DVD/Game: 250GB PS3 Slim DVD/Game: 250GB XBox 360 Elite Special Edition (Black) Game: Wii Remote: Logitech Harmony One w/ PS3 Adapter WHS: Acer H341 Windows Home Server |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting GreyHulk: Quote: Now, it would seem, you have to clone a previous entry to create a new Disc ID. And can only do it that way. From what I see: Yes. And I think it ought to be that way, otherwise people might create new DiscID-variants without checking if and what profiles already exist. | | | Mithi's little XSLT tinkering - the power of XML --- DVD-Profiler Mini-Wiki |

| Posted: | | | | This would be related to the 3.9 change that shows the online profiles matching your disk when you go to add by Disc ID. This is great for when you have a used DVD with no case, you can select which profile you want instead of it picking one for you. So this part of the change I like, but losing functionality is not good.
I would report this as a bug. |
