I try to explain.

Warner actually used to made only one disc that is sold in all world in bluray editions. The disc in the same in USA or Spain or in another other country. Logically, code region is empty.

Beacuse that, the disc usually include all dubbed is possible. And for spanish usually Warner has two diferent dubbed and subs. And usually, Warner includes these two spanish dubbed and subs.

When you put a Warner Disc, the menus ask to you to choose betwen Español or castellano (Castillian). And that means bluray trasnparentily choose betwen the two spanish audio dubbed track. Exactly is the next:
- Español, the dubbed is made for southamerican spanish spoken countrys.
- Castellano, the dubbed is made for spain country.

It's not very logical. Spanish is spain oficial language. And southamerican is derivated, not the original. Others distribuitors call latino (for latino-americano) to south american dubb, more logically.

In Dvdprofiler, you have one spanish track and one second spanish track.

But that is not made all times. Nobody knows why, but sometimes Warner not dubbed to spain spanish. It's happen with certain DC animated films.

With dvd editions the problem is that usually spain and southamerican editions are diferent. The two puts spanish... but they are diferent dubbed.

Spanish people usually dont' like latin dubbeds, and southamerican people don't like spansih dubb. Becasue that, is interesting diference betwen the two spanish posibbles track.

I request some solution to difference betwen spanish dubbs.

On the other hand, we don't make that distinction between Her Majesty's English (UK), Colony English (US) and Prison English (AU) either.

Wait a minute.

How many films you know have more than one dubb in english, portuguese, french or dutch? How many films you think are with two diferent spanish dubb? Every year hundred new.

You are talking about to specific "accent" like will be a curiosity, and I am talking about diference somehow diferents tracks dubbed in one languaje.

You can put in sipnosis special atipical cases. Akira spanish release has two spanish spain tracks.
- Original cinema 2.0 release made with first english bad translate.
- Dvd added a second dubbed, with others dubbers, because spanish Makoto dubber dead very young. The new dubb is 5.1 and the translation was made again, with a not bad translate new english translation. For the second dvd release and BR releasae, the second dubb was remade partially correcting some very poor dubb interpretation. Only firts release has the 2.0 version dubb, and the next release has the 2.5 dubb.

The same succeded with Ranma. New dubb for not manipulated trasnlation. Ok, the release has two spanish tracks and two are spanish spain track. You can explain in sipnosis.

But actually, many films are release with only latin dubb in spain. Warner usually made a only one world disc with two spanish track. It's very dificult know what exactly dubbed has spanish track.

I put a practical example. Little Mermaid. Last Disney film with trying neutral unique spanish dub to all world. Actual spanish BR has two spanish tracks.
- 1989 cinema original southamerican latin neutral track, made in Hollywood. Cast by Wikipedia: Gabriela León (Ariel), Demián Bichir (Eric), Michael Cruz (Sebastián), Guillermo Romano (Tritón), Serena Olvido (Úrsula) y Rigoberto Jiménez (Flounder).
- 1999 home to video Spain spanish. Cast by Wikipedia:  Graciela Molina (Ariel), David Robles (Eric), Juan Perucho (Sebastián), Claudio Rodríguez (Tritón), Matilde Conesa (Úrsula) y Nacho Aldeguer (Flounder).

Watch how diferent is the same song in two dubbs.

Translation is very diferent in each dubb also.

Ella esta
ahi sentada frente a ti
no te ha dicho nada aun, pero algo te atrae.

She is
sitting infront you
she still has say nothing to you, but something attract you.

Ella esta ahi
a tu lado y tu la ves.
Va callada pero crees que te habla su alma.

She is the,
by your side, and you see she.
It is quiet but think speaks his soul.

To be really exactly, there are many diferents spanish in south american. But for money, only one dub is made to all south american, because they are more equal comparing to spain spanish, that is very diferent. South american spanish dubb is called neutral, because try to have the less possible localisms to be the most posibble neutral to no be horror for any south american. In all times try to be neutral thinking Spain, but is very time that they don't count with spanish and in spain is made diferent dubb.

Spanish people don't like south american latin neutral, and south american people don't like spanish dubs. For spanish spoken, is important know what spanish dubb is in editions. Fly films or airplanes, usually came in neutral and are hate by a spanish people.

Some examples:
- Batman, the Mistery of Batwoman. Nobody knows why, but that film never dubb in spain. Spanish dvd only has latin neutral. European BR has only latin neutral and never sold in Spain. We usually think that spanish release must have spain dubb. Not necesarilly.
- Batman, under the Reed Hood. European BR has spain spanish dubb but not latin neutral. In Spain never sold BR, only dvd. I import german BR because that. Was more cheap than UK release for me, with exactly the same disc.
- Justice leage, Atlantis Throne. The BR comes with two spanish dubd. Exactly euopean release has English 5.1, Castellano 5.1, Español 5.1, French 5.1.

The same collection and 3 different criteric.

I think dvdprofiler must be some specific to spanish track, because there is a many films that need specific the information to can know exactly what have.

Mad Max is one example where the Australian English was dubbed for the American market and I guess there are many more. The other cases that you talk about (re-dubbings for 5.1 releases) are happening in every country that shows movies in dubbed versions (for example, the German The Godfather Blu-Rays feature the original cinema dubbing in Mono and a re-dubbing in 5.1). So while I agree that it would be good to get this information into the profiles somehow, I don't think that this problem is specific to Spanish dubs.
Recently bought films:

The Matrix [Blu-ray] | Shirins Wedding [DVD] | The Graduate [Blu-ray] | Prometheus [Blu-ray 3D] | Hwal [DVD]

You remenber me that happens with some redubbings for 5.1 releases.

In dvd, Grease, cames with original spanish dub in 1.0 and the redubbing 5.1. In BR, that have more space and can have more audios, only cames with the redubbing 5.1. I am not very sure, but I think happen the same with Superman and Shark.

In spanish we have actually a problem with clasical Disney dubs made by Edmundo Do Santos. Because a autor rights will pay Disney to original dubbers, Disney prefered made a new dub and don't put the original. Because actually Disney made a neutral and spain spasnish dub, these films cames with two spanish redubbled tracks, but never the original. They tray we think the latin dub is the original, but it is not.

Not southamericans, not spanish are agreed with these new redubbled. The problem is not made a redubb, the problem is made a cheaper dubb that is worst. The spend less money because the dub no go to cinema. I ear many redubs that are better than original. In cheaper dubb, the time to do work is less, and you not choose the best actors, because they are more expensive. And with Disney, not all dubs actor will sign draconians contracs, because they have less dub actors to choose.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FB-VqQGGa14 You can wacht how terrific can be a bad redubb.
