| Posted: | | | | In "DVD Specification", I select all the regions (A, B, C) in the filed REGION - whenever is the case - but then, when I check my changes, I see that no one of those REGION is selected. Is that a known glitch? Thank you guys for your reply...! ^_^ |

What do you mean? "No regions" stands for all regions? Yes, if a disc has no region coding for A/B/C, it is the same thing as being all regions in the program. If you check them all, it automatically removes them by default. | | | Corey |

| Posted: | | | | I believe it was changed to stop contributions 'ping-ponging' from 'Regions 1,2,3,4,5,6' to 'No Region Coding' back to 'Regions 1,2,3,4,5,6' and back to 'No Region Coding' again etc.
There wasn't an agreement over what constituted 'Region-Free' or 'All Regions' so Ken made a decision. | | | Last edited: by GreyHulk |

| Posted: | | | | Blu-Rays can have different content or menus for regions A,B,C. This is because the Blu-Ray player has the region coding, not the disc. The disc can read the player's region coding then does what it wants (remember discs can run full blown Java).
This is very different than not having region coding at all. (This disc doesn't check or do anything with region.)
That is a very wrong way for the program to behave. | | | 99.9% of all cat plans consist only of "Step 1." |

That is a very wrong way for the program to behave. Blu-ray discs still have region codings but yes, what's different is that, the Blu-ray interrogates the region coding of the player rather than with DVD were the player interrogates the DVD for the region coding. |
