If the only place (no onscreen listing) a person is given credit is the credit block on the rear cover, is that valid and something that can be contributed?

The rules tell us to take crew entries from the film credits only, so the answer is No.

Yes, that's ok. Cast has not be taken from the film credits, why should Crew?

Perhaps because the rules specifically says so?

Cast has to be from the credits either, which you would know, if you'd read the rules instead of difaming Germans as "nationalist dorks"...

BTW: I think you are more "German" than me (but too cowardly to show your flag);  you could come up with something new...

Not yet, let them add all kind of interesting informations to Cast and Crew, and Invelos can add the weird exception rules later again.

While I understand the desire, the rules are fairly clear here..."Take Crew Credits from the film credits only."
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
