| Posted: | | | | Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and this is my first post.
I have got a handheld scanner attached to my PC and have scanned quite a lot of my collection into DVD Profiler. I had quite a few questions, most of which I found answers to on the forums - so thanks for that!
The only thing I couldn't find was how do I search for a movie or TV series using my barcode scanner? for example, say my friend wants to borrow a few DVDs - instead of typing the titles and finding and appending the loan information, it would be handy to scan each one and go instantly to that title.
I have sort of managed to work out a way of doing this but its not the correct way. What I do is edit the DVD and under 'Personal Information' section I scan the barcode again into the 'Location' field. This will instantly bring up the DVD in question. Trouble is I have to go back and scan everything again for this to work - Is the barcode not saved anywhere (searchable) once you search and add a title? |

In the DVD menu you find "Find by UPC" or press Alt+F10. It opens a small window ready to receive a UPC number. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online
