| Posted: | | | | When moving a title from Wishlist or Ordered, it would be nice if the Date Purchased was automatically set to the current date instead of having to open the calendar and clicking Today. | | | Kevin | | | Last edited: by antolod |

| Posted: | | | | I understand that Max, but I ordered Jungle Book on May 11 and won't be getting it until next week. I won't be charged until it ships, so I like to use the date I actually have it for date purchased. My idea would be that you can still edit the date field when the personalization window pops up. I try to get new discs added the day I get them. | | | Kevin |

| Posted: | | | | I voted no. The reason being because if a date has already been set and people want it to stay the same, then what this idea is doing is essentially causing extra work in a field where no data is meant to be changed.
On the other hand, if Ken were to make it optional, then I don't think it would be an issue because it would have to be turned on in Options by the user....but that wasn't addressed in the poll. |

| Posted: | | | | It's easy enough to do this anyway. When you add a profile to Ordered, simply blank out the date in the personalisation window during the initial add. Then when you do move it to owned, the date will be automatically set to the current in the way you describe. |

For me, I'd like an expanded set of fields for purchase date anyway. As someone who orders 99.98% of his dvd's online, I'd like to know the order date, ship date and arrival date. Now which one you then class as purchase date could then be selectable.
For me, its the day I get my paws on it. I frequently order things 6+ months before they are released. | | | Home of the phpDVDProfiler forums |

| Posted: | | | | I use my ordered list for a different purpose. I do not want any field to automatically change, when a profile is moved from one list to another. Automatically opening the personalisation window (without changing anything) is ok though.
On a similar topic: while there is an option to choose whether the personalisation window should be opened when adding a profile, this window is opened always (with both options) when the newly added profile already is on the wish list (indirekt move from wish list to owned). I do consider this a bug. |

For me, its the day I get my paws on it. I frequently order things 6+ months before they are released. I move items to Owned when they arrive at my home, that's when they get a collection number. (That even goes so far, that the DVDs Peter von Frosta send me for the charge of the shipping and which are so far only at my parent's home back in Germany are still under the Ordered tab.) However, purchase date=ordered date. Having more dates would be great for me too. I still have all e-mails from the retailers, so I could even enter it for my entire collection still | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | I voted "I don't care" because of the way I use the tabs.
I add a title to Wishlist when I order it (!) I move it to Ordered when it is shipped. I move it to Owned when it arrives.
This way I have a good idea of when to expect a title to be delivered. For a real wishlist I use the wishlist function of my main retailer's web site. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |
