That would be wrong IMHO. Sandra Bullock wasn't playing "Sandra Bullock", thus she wasn't playing "herself". Agree. I think it should be Sandra Bullock credited as Ida Flammenbaum, role would be Ida Flammenbaum. | | | Last edited: by sugarjoe |

I hope this will put an end to this debate once and for all. I agree with you totally, Unicus. | | | Another Ken (not Ken Cole) Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges. DVD Profiler user since June 15, 2001 |

But when you look at the cast list it would say Ida Flammenbaum was playing herself, not Sandra Bullock. It would simply link to all the other Sandra Bullock roles. |

Sandra Bullock [credited as "herself"] playing "Ida Flammenbaum" maybe? Then it would be even in the left role/right actor order. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea, usually I dump DVDP credits and replace them with IMDb's. ("He said Jehova!") | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

Sandra Bullock [Ida Flammenbaum] as Herself. I do not own this film, but if Sandra Bullock did play this person, then I believe the rules allow for this as the actor's name does differ from the credited name. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. Sandra Bullock [Ida Flammenbaum] as Herself. I still think that would give the impression that Sandra Bullock was playing herself, which she didn't. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

I don't think it would because you wouldn't even see Sandra Bullock's name in the profile unless you actually clicked on Ida Flammenbaum first (apart from her normal credit for this film of course). |

| Posted: | | | | I agree... it would show up in the list as...
Ida Flammenbaum as Herself
and then show up as it being Sandra Bullock when clicked on the name... showing she is credited under a different name. which is what the credited as field is for. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Right. Thanks again, Ken. I hope this really is the end of it. This whole thing cost me far too much time, while I thought we had already put the whole matter to rest four months ago with this poll. That's what I meant with "having to fight the same battles over and over again" - I'd rather invest my time in something useful: I've got a few new purchases right here next to me that need profiling, but instead I found myself arguing about the same old stuff all weekend. I also noticed that this thread garnered me a grand total of four negative reputation votes (don't worry, there were positives as well - thanks!). Oh well, I guess that's what they call "the price of progress"... | | | Last edited: by T!M |
