Since the outcome is based on personal preference (how to count TV credits), you leave me no choice. You keep declaring David Kelsey the winner, and I'll keep declaring Dave Kelsey the winner... I understand it would be lovely to silence the opposing opinion, but as long as you're entitled to state your way of counting, I'm entitled to state mine. Officially, none is more valid than the other. The only practical factor in this whole thing is that my outcome actually helps distinguishing between two different people, which would otherwise be pretty much impossible due to unknown birth years for both. So...:

Dave Kelsey: 9 confirmed
Airheads (by huskersports)
BASEketball (by ninehours)
Bruce Almighty (by T!M)
The Craft (by huskersports)
Dick Tracy (by T!M)
Dude, Where's My Car? (by T!M)
Friday After Next (by huskersports)
Legally Blonde (by Corne)
Paulie (by huskersports)

David Kelsey: 8 1/2 (see 'M:I-2') confirmed
CSI: Miami (by huskersports)
CSI: NY (by huskersports)
The Incredible Shrinking Woman (by huskersports & Katatonia)
Indecent Proposal (by huskersports)
Kingpin (by T!M)
Mad City (by huskersports)
Message in a Bottle (by SpaceFreakMicha)
M:I-2 (questionable: the community is at odds over whether this is a valid credit or not)
The Work and the Glory (by huskersports)

David P. Kelsey: 4 confirmed
The Butcher's Wife (by T!M)
Hush (by hallo-marvin)
Three Wishes (by mreeder50)
The Work And The Glory: American Zion (by huskersports)

Thank you ninehours.  29-6 vote by the Invelos community seems pretty convincing to me.  I only have 1 David Kelsey in my db, so the vote lines up with MY posts.
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Obviously, yeah - and if it's not a problem for you, then that's the end of it, apparently? Why on earth would you care about the problems it causes for other users when it doesn't hurt you? Anyway - I'm well aware of that poll and it's unfortunate results (I can't help feeling that most people don't understand the ramifications), but poll results don't equal rules, and as it stands, I'm interpreting the rules and Ken's public clarifications to mean that one title, whether that's a film or a TV show, counts as one title. I'd welcome any official input, though - if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and you won't hear another peep about it from me. But until we get an official response, I'll stick to one title = one title.

Wasn't there something in another thread showing that sometimes credits change from season to season on any given show? I'm not talking about Simpsons Treehouse of Horror credits either.

I swear I saw one, and even if not, I'd treat each season as it's own title, IMHO of course.

Of course that happens. On occasion, it varies from episode to episode as well. That doesn't change things at all, though, as far as I'm concerned: then it's just one title for each name variant. By your line of reasoning, you'd want to count every single episode as a separate title, not just every season...

You are correct about 1 title counts as 1 title.  Each season of CSI: NY is 1 title,  or else I'd have to add each season to the 1st season profile as each came out on DVD.  But that's not the way Profiler works.  Each season has it's own profile. I wish it was Dave Kelsey too to keep the peace, but it's not. We'll have to agree to disagree.  I don't think ill of you for it, and I'll keep the discussion civil [even contributing to your common name threads :-)].

Indeed we will... Let's hope for some valuable input from Invelos, though - this is something that needs to be addressed, not just because of this particular Mr. Kelsey example, but because TV-profiles hugely impact the CLT numbers for thousands of names. Of course we can always try to find the "truth" by way of common name-finding threads, but the CLT numbers taken on face value are severely thrown off by the fact that even a single credit in a major TV show can result in dozens of CLT "hits" due to localized (translated) season and disc indicators - all stuff that, IMHO, is not part of the title, and therefore should be taken out of both title fields. It's all part of the same problem, and it needs to be dealt with.

I'd only count episodes if it changed from episode to episode, which is far less likely than season to season, although it already happened on a Tales from the Crypt season for effects or sound people. I have other movies with someone credited once as Matt for composer but Matthew for song writer, just a made-up example but I know it happened.

I'd prefer to keep it at 1 season = 1 film. One dvd set = one movie, like that.
If it changes within a season, I'd say take the most used credit as the one for that season, and mark other episodes credited as.

I think this needs updating.

According to the rules, a Special Effects Coordinator is a valid entry if there is no Special Effects Supervisor credit. I take it your checks take that into account, Husker?

So it's David Kelsey?

Are you sure of this one? I have David from my own audit in 2008 and crew has been locked ever since. All others match up with what's here.
