Now you are just being obtuse.  The proper term for a 'joining word' is conjunction.  Thanks to 'School House Rock', my 8 year old knows that.  I find it quite difficult to believe that you don't.

Well actually more to the point the filmmakers clearly chose Wrong is Right as can be demonstarted by a simple review of the title on the cover. I would probably be more inclined to agree had they not made such a CLEAR distinction.

Nice try except you said, and I quote, "Yeah i think you are violatingb the Rule."  You said nothing about the cover.

Speaking of the cover...I thought you said it doesn't matter what the cover says because the rules say to take the title from the film's credits.

And, as long as we are talking about the cover, there is no 'dot' above that 'I'.  That 'I' looks exactly like every other 'I' on the cover and they are all CAPITALISED.  As a matter of fact, the entire cover is in ALL CAPS.  Are you really trying to tell me that 'IS' being in a smaller font means it is lower case?

Tim provided no information what the actual screen says, and all i have at the moment is the cover to judge, it is one of those things that would send me scrambling to see what the On Screen was, just as I did with Roberts. Based on that information it is more than likely the same as the cover which is clearly WRONG is RIGHT. And my interpretation of the Rules is thhat it is dealing with the fact that most titles are in all caps and various and sundry other variations and instructs how to deal with them. And THAT interpretation is just as valid as yours, it is what happens when you start parsing and trying to create an interpretation, which is why I try to steer as wide a berth as I can of that. But if everybody else is going to play...then I have to as well.

I think it's time for a coupla rounds of Conjunction Junction, don't you think?

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up words and phrases and clauses.
Conjunction Junction, how's that function?
I got three favorite cars
That get most of my job done.
Conjunction Junction, what's their function?
I got "and", "but", and "or",
They'll get you pretty far.

[spoken] "And":
That's an additive, like "this and that".
"But":
That's sort of the opposite,
"Not this but that".
And then there's "or":
O-R, when you have a choice like
"This or that".
"And", "but", and "or",
Get you pretty far.

[sung] Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up two boxcars and making 'em run right.
Milk and honey, bread and butter, peas and rice.
Hey that's nice!
Dirty but happy, digging and scratching,
Losing your shoe and a button or two.
He's poor but honest, sad but true,
Boo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up two cars to one
When you say something like this choice:
"Either now or later"
Or no choice:
"Neither now nor ever"
Hey that's clever!
Eat this or that, grow thin or fat,
Never mind, I wouldn't do that,
I'm fat enough now!

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up phrases and clauses that balance, like:
Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
He cut loose the sandbags,
But the balloon wouldn't go any higher.
Let's go up to the mountains,
Or down to the seas.
You should always say "thank you",
Or at least say "please".

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up words and phrases and clauses
In complex sentences like:
[spoken] In the mornings, when I'm usually wide awake, I love to take a walk through the gardens and down by the lake, where I often see a duck and a drake, and I wonder, as I walk by, just what they'd say if they could speak, although I know that's an absurd thought.

Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
Hooking up cars and making 'em function.
Conjunction Junction, how's that function?
I like tying up words and phrases and clauses.
Conjunction Junction, watch that function.
I'm going to get you there if you're very careful.
Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
I'm going to get you there if you're very careful.
Conjunction Junction, what's your function?
I'm going to get you there if you're very careful.

No need.  I have a very good copy of the cover on my computer.  The entire cover is in ALL CAPS.  It is clearly:

WRONG
                                      ISRIGHT

To verify this I looked at the credit block on the back and it is RIGHT IS WRONG.

As is using varying font sizes.  The mere fact that they used a smaller font doesn't automatically mean it is in lowercase.

I'm sorry, but I've tried to see your point of view - after all, not capitalising "is" is a very common mistake because people assume it's classed the same as "of" or "to" - but now you're just talking rubbish - I'm sorry, but you are!
The "is" is meant to be in lower case because it's smaller on the screen than the other words??
And since when do we use the cover to ascertain the title? You're blatantly ignoring other rules just to try and get this one to stick.
It honestly sounds to me more like you are clutching at straws rather than admit you made a mistake.

Nope the difference is that I do NOT make interpretations. Every time someone makes an interpretation that sticks they weaken the Rules, I deal with what I see, nothing more or less.

But the Rules ask you to make that interpretation ("For English titles do not capitalize joining words such as "of", "the", "a", "in", etc. unless they are the first, last or only word in of the title.").

And why is that necessary, Achim. Because Hollywood will typically show ON THE WATERFRONT, RUNAWAY BRIDE, THE QUICK AND THE DEAD, etc., etc., etc.

The capitalisation of the title on the cover, in the credits, or any other red herring location that anyone wants to drag into this is completely irrelevant.

The rules state how to capitalise the title - so we ignore the capitalisation that happens to be shown anywhere else.

The key here is whether "is" is a joining word or not. That simple, anything else is completely irrelevant.

Of course it is not, Skip thinks it is but can provide no proof of that. Let him vote to his personal prefence, justify it with red herrings, and lets move on.
