| Posted: | | | | A couple of days ago I down loaded and started playing with the Database Query plug in. Since prior to the Database Query the only method to determine true total SRP of my collection was to use the DVD Discount Report, and zero out the SRPs on all child profiles. Thus my total SRP for TV series children profiles should have been zero. But it was not.
On further investigation I found a number of TV Series Child Profiles entered by Disc ID with SRPs values the same as their parent. "One Tree Hill: The Complete Fourth Season: Disc One", SRP $59.98 - parent $59.98. "Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Complete Sixth Season: Disc 6". $139.99 - parent $139.99 "Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Complete Sixth Season: Disc 5", $139.99 - parent $139.99 this in my book these are errors. These were the only one in my collection, their were others but they had UPCs and could have offered for sale separately.
I can understand children with UPCs having SRPs, but I doubt any single disc costs much as a whole set of discs. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. | Posted: | | | | Generally, srethims, I list them as 0.00, but a case could be made for dividing up the SRP for each child, but I agree with you. Likely a simple typo.

| Posted: | | | | I use the original SRP for the TV series for more than one series you sometimes see on sale. Like I Bought "One Tree Hill" series 1 thru 4.but I use the original SRP for each each of the four and divid up the total sale price doe the purchase price. But $139.99 for one disc, I don't think so. | | | We don't need stinkin' IMDB's errors, we make our own. Ineptocracy, You got to love it. | Posted: | | | | I thought we had a solid consensus to always list the SRP for (not separately available) child profiles as 0.00.
Dividing the box set SRP (and what you payed for the set as well, I guess) over the children seems awfully messy. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | Like I said I think it's a simple typo that needs to be fixed.

| Posted: | | | | This seems to happen when someone uses a boxset profile as a template for quick-cloning children. Put in one of the discs, change UPC to disc ID, delete the other discs in the set, presto, a child. Frequently forgotton is to adjust Running Time, SRP, features, etc. unique to the particular disc. I've seen this a lot, gives me a lot of fuel for contribution updates.

| Posted: | | | | I remember this one, I did the child profiles for S4 of One Tree Hill, if I recall correctly then someone had for some peculiar reason simply created a profile under the ID of the first disc, with all sorts of details pertaining to the season as a whole, and scans of the regular release, UPC and all. No reason for it in the notes, there's no multi-season set for OTH at this time. I have the RRP as 0 in my local, maybe I missed that tickbox when contributing. Altogether weird situation. |
