It would be great if an iPhone could be used as a barcode scanner for adding DVDs. There is a free app that can facilitate this called Zbar Code Reader:

It includes a software library for integration with other applications:

If DVD Profiler would accept the import of tab-delimited txt files generated by any barcode scanner such as the free iPhone App RedLaser, we could already import batches of scanned UPCs into DVD Profiler...
