| Posted: | | | | Just checking: are we still firmly against the inclusion of any "additional" crew? I remember threads like this one and this one, and several like it, where we seemed to have a strong consensus against any kind of "additional" credits. No "Additional Re-Recording Mixers", no "Additional Sound Editors", no "Additional Make-up Artists",... Are we still agreed on all that? I'm just checking, as I've encountered both a number of contributions and a couple of common name-finding threads that have included such credits. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

| Posted: | | | | The only additional crew that seems to be ok to contribute is Additional Visual Effects by (Company). Don't see the logic in these credits being ok, since the header states that everyone after the header is Additional Crew. But I'll assume someone will relay the reason why this illogical procedure is ok. |

| Posted: | | | | I vote no on this question, because from my point of view we should only list heads of ..., neither executing personal (as VFX lately) nor additional etc.
But I'd vote for a more on-the-case rules, to get the important persons listed, not the one which have the correct wording in the credits. Two examples, where the current ruleset blatantly fails: - the latest example where the composer of a minor in-movie-theme gets listed as theme composer, because the word theme was (somewhere!!) in his credit - Location crews have to be differentiated from unit crews, since there are movies out there, which are completly (or in major parts) made by crews which are titled with the location they were responsible for (I think The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus was one of them) | | | Complete list of Common Names • A good point for starting with Headshots (and v11.1) |

| Posted: | | | | We've only ever contributed 'additional Visual Effects' where there is a Visual Effects Supervisor (or other valid credit) under that heading.
Whether even that is supported by the Rules is another thing.
Additional Make-up, Additional Costume, Additional whatever - we are not tracking, for whatever reason.
Again the rules don't state anything about including 'additional' Crew. |

Again the rules don't state anything about including 'additional' Crew. But there are also DoP, Make-up, SPFX, Art Director under a header that says Additional Photography, but we don't contribute them. There are art directors listed under VFX headers but we don't contribute them. I've added additional crew and it has passed and then the next day someone removes them and it passes. So until everyone is on the same page with what the rules allow or don't allow. Not what a select few of people (that want the database their way) are going to allow to be contributed. Personally I think Ken should head down to the local hardware and purchase a new set of balls, strap them on and make some rulings on things that have not been answered in years. Even if it goes against what the dinosaurs want. | | | Last edited: by ateo357 |
