Got a quick (and perhaps obvious) question about a cast credit. For "The Box", the regular cast credit ends then the stunt people begin and at the end is a credit for a voice part, does that get included? Here is a screen capture. The regular cast ends at Danny Demiller.

Agreed.

I don't care what he's talking about. We have had thsi discussion before, we can't jst decide what is ast and from where it comes. Unless you are suggesting that all the Stunts and Doubles in that list are also actors. Jenna LaMia is clearly SEPARATED from the remainder of the Cast and is therefore NOT part pf the cast. you you are way TOO loosey goosey with  it. I think Gaffers are actors, we should include them and so are accountants for that matter. You guys are claiming that we can make this determination because there's is no defined cast list. jus put whatever you want into the Cast, she doesn't have to fit.Forum Moderator: Removed

Now if you are suggesting that the stunt people are part of the Cast, that's fine.

Not for you and not for me, but obviously for a whole bunch of filmmakers.
More than once I've seen credits where the Stunt people were explicitly put in the cast-section (sometimes even by dividers, where the "Crew"-divider came clearly after the stunt-people), the Stunt Coordinator nearly always is listed within the Cast section.

Couldn't find anything about this in the rules, but if I recall correctly, we were even supposed to enter stunt-people, if they are fully integrated into the cast list (no blank lines, and there have to be obvious cast members after the stunts). But I might have gotten something wrong here.

I'd opt for Jenna Lamia as Cast, but would leave the stunt-people out.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I agree Goblins, but I haven't see anyone but you suggest that, and if that's what they are suggesting that's fine. I'll buy THAT , but if they are suggesting somethijng else, NOPE. If Jenn is cast then so are the Stunt people.

Yet that's exactly what most of us are suggesting: yes to the cast credit, no to the stunt crew. Cast is cast, crew is crew - it's as simple as that.

To briefly quote the rules if "actors credited elsewhere, enter the actors"

Now I know that is part of the section that applies to films with no end credits, but IMO the principle is the same.  I had a similar problem with one of the Air Bud films recently - the human actors are credited first, then the stunt people, then the canine actors, then the crew.  There were spaces between each.  Since we track animal actors, I naturally entered the dogs - and when I asked around the forum, was told not to enter the stunt people.

I'd enter her.

Then you are wrong again, Tim. There is an end to the cast data, like I said i think accountants and gaffers are cast based on your crazy argument.. That's simply way too bizarre, what film was uit that you last made, Tim? Oh, that's right you've never made a film.

LOL, Cass. Nice try. I love it when users selectively quote the rules to try and support an argument. The ENTIRE quote, Cass, IS:

"If a film does not have standard credits, use the following rules:

    * If a film has actors listed in the opening credits, which are not listed in the end credits, add these to the list in DVD Profiler before those taken from the end credits.
    * If a film has no end credits, but does have actors credited elsewhere, enter the actors from those credits.
    * If an actor is credited by name but does not have an associated role, you may use the film itself, or another source to identify the role. However, mass copy from a third party commercial database which violates their stated usage license is not allowed. In each case, list Actor’s names and roles (when given) exactly as they are in the credits and in exactly the same order credited."

I presume you aren't suggesting that this film does not use standard credits, if you are then you better go watch it.

I would say that this film does not have standard credits because all cast are not listed "together" in the closing credits, but some are seperated by stunt people.
