| Posted: | | | | Here's a bug I've noticed on previous builds and it still appears to exist in build 40. This issue exists when downloading from the online database and NOT from the desktop.
If a profile was previously downloaded with images to the Android database and the images for said profile are updated and approved at a later date those new images aren't downloaded (or at least they don't replace the existing images) when the Android database is updated.
If I delete said profile from the Android DVD Profiler database and then perform a database update then the new images are downloaded from the online database.
This happens, at least, on my Asus Transformer Infinity with Android 4.2.1.
NOTE: I noticed build 40, or one of the newer builds this week, did fix a similar issue for existing profiles with no images. Previously, if you had downloaded a profile that had no images, and at a later date images were contributed and approved, then those new images weren't downloaded. This seems to have been fixed in the latest build. |

| Posted: | | | | Confirmed this is still an issue with Build 40 on Android 4.2.1 and 4.4.4.
Existing front and back images aren't replaced with newer front and back images. |

| Posted: | | | | This is still an issue with build 41. I'm assuming this may be a harder bug to track down. Is anyone else experiencing this issue other than myself or am I the leper? |

| Posted: | | | | Yes, I do have that enabled. Profiles with no existing images get updated now (after B39 I believe) once images are available. However, if existing images were downloaded then any new images aren't downloaded/updated. For example, a lot of new profiles may initially have the front cover for both the front and back covers. Once the item is released, or if back covers images become available, those new images may be contributed by a member, approved, and added to the database. Even if those images are now available those images never become available in my database.
Also, every time I perform an update it appears images are being downloaded (i.e. the image download progress bar filling in). However, in the applying updates section for images it completes almost instantaneously which makes me think images are being downloaded but not applied? | | | Last edited: by rdodolak |

| Posted: | | | | Maybe that's not just an Android bug: I only use the Desktop version and have a similar problem: When checking for updates I also take a look at the updated cover scans and don't deselect to update them. Also I have no locks on the cover scans enabled. When I'm finishing the update process I sometimes see, that the profile updates get processed, and the cover scans show "skipped". To get the new ones I have to manually delete the old scans from the profile and have it checked for updates again. Database repair hasn't had any effect... |

| Posted: | | | | Issue still persists with 1.1.3 (Build 45). Some additional info...
If I delete the whole database or if I delete an affected profile then the latest cover image(s) are downloaded successfully. Maybe a date/timestamp issue? |

| Posted: | | | | I give up as it seems this will never be fixed. What's frustrating is the Android app has been on beta for way too long (1 year +) and it seems development has been shifted back to the Apple app to add new features. |

Considering how long Google products stay in beta, this is nothing! |

| Posted: | | | | For what it's worth noting the problem still exists. I'm using version 1.2.4 build 65. Above mentioned workaround when deleting the whole profile and downloading again works however. I hope this one will be fixed a.s.a.p. since this is very annoying. Edit: The phone I'm using is a HTC One M8 with Android 5.0.1. unrooted (i.e. stock rom). | | | DVD Profiler for iOS since: January 9, 2011 (no longer using) DVD Profiler for Android since: June 6, 2013 | | | Last edited: by Hotm@iler |

Considering how long Google products stay in beta, this is nothing! Oh, I don't know, since that time I've upgraded to Lollipop and then Marshmallow plus other minor non-beta updates in between. This issue still exists with the Android version of DVDProfiler though. |
