| Posted: | | | | Has been requested in the old forum as well, but I hope that we could get this someday in a future release.
Box set in box set would be great because nowadays there are more and more "The complete Series"-Packs, like "Friends", "Babylon 5", "Six Feet Under"... where you have all seasons in one package.
I also wrote about episode entries in the "contribution discussion forum"
I really would welcome an "episode level"-handling, as it would provide the biggest accuracy.
Pro: - accuracy - possibility to add original title and localized title of every episode - possibility to see, which episode has an audio commentary, which not - possibilty to correctly enter your "viewed by"-history
Contra: - takes more database-space - takes a bit more time to enter - would need the feature "box set in box set" which is not available at the moment
So, it would be great to know, if you, Ken, see any possibility to provide us with this features or if you have no such plans. |

| Posted: | | | | I second this. The sales of tv series are exploding so we could use a better way of handling this. I would like to see an open discussion with Ken about this and he would probably first clear all the bugs and see the database up to speed | | | Greetz, Marc Castermans

Perhaps the ONLY improvement I'm really waiting for now that so much has been updated with 3.0! |

| Posted: | | | | IMO, this is the biggest weakness of DVD Profiler; it is a product database rather than a title database. There must be some way of keeping the features of the former while including the advantages of the latter.
I have many boxed sets of television episodes, and several boxed sets of movies that don't have indivual UPC codes. While I'm impressed with what DVD Profiler does, it's too limited for my purposes in its current form.

--------------- Just out of curiosity, what do you use to track your collection? | | | Hal |

I have a title table that has an entry for each program title, whether it be a movie or a television episode, and also tracks series, genre, tape#/disc#, etc. Then I have a tape/disc table that ties each title back to cover art for its tape/disc. It's very basic, but I use it to track all my video titles, whether they're on VHS tape or DVD, commercially released or home recorded. I'd like to be able to use something more along the lines of DVD Profiler, but without having to give up the ability to track individual titles. --------------- |

--------------- I'm not sure why you think you have to give up the ability to track individual titles. DVDP will do that. | | | Hal |

--------------- You can definitely set up a profile for each and every Title. The vast majority will be downloadable from the main site by either UPC or Disc ID, and the remaining few will have to be added manually, but they can all be there. Using the Boxset function is entirely optional. | | | Hal |

From what I've been able to see, very few if any of my television episodes are there for me to download. This means that I'll have to manually enter my nearly 1400 television episodes by hand. If I could figure out how to import data from MS Access into DVD Profiler it might be tolerable. One thing I have learned about recently that might help is tags, which at least can let me attach series info to individual episodes. --------------- |

| Posted: | | | | I support this feature request as well. It's not just useful for TV episodes, but also for cases in which there are several movies on one (side of a) disc. |
